What is a Fanlisting?

A fanlisting is an online list of fans of a subject, such as a TV show, actor, or musician, that is created by an individual and open for fans from around the world to join. There are no costs, and the only requirements to join a fanlisting are your name and country. Fanlistings do not have to be large sites (although some are), they are just a place where you can sign up with other fans.

About the Subject

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring is the first part of The Lord of the Rings trilogy, written by John Ronald Reuel (J.R.R.) Tolkien in the 1950s. This fanlisting is for the soundtrack of the film adaptation, directed by Peter Jackson and released in 2001 to massive critical acclaim. The score was almost entirely composed by Canadian Howard Shore, well-known for his film soundtracks (to date he has composed more than eighty of these), though the tracks The Council of Elrond and May It Be were composed and performed by Irish singer-songwriter Enya. It was released in the same year, and was highly successful; he has toured the world conducting orchestral performances of the scores from the three films periodically since 2004. The track listing below is from the original release of the soundtrack, though there have since been other versions of it with more tracks and some different arrangements.
